New clinic advances Norfolk Island as a wellness destination

The recently opened holistic Natural Therapies Clinic is part of a growing selection of wellness offerings on Norfolk Island.

The newest addition to Norfolk Island’s network of increasingly popular retreats and wellbeing facilities, the Clinic is offering a ‘Living Cleanse Package’ to reconnect body, mind and soul using a mixture of homeopathy, deep tissue massage, allergy testing and food re-education.

Participants will be equipped with health and fitness tools to implement a better way of life when they return home.

The Clinic also plans to run Primal Pledge, a boot camp style holiday, early in the New Year.

Commenting on the growing popularity of the Island as a destination for rejuvenation and relaxation, a Norfolk Island Tourism spokesperson explains “Norfolk Island is a sub-tropical haven ideal for people who wish to disconnect from the stress and complexities of everyday life.

“A visit to this island, no matter how fleeting, is invigorating and rejuvenating – a tonic for the soul.

“Visitors can practice yoga and tai chi on the white sandy beach that is stunning Emily Bay or relax and refresh with cliff-top massages overlooking the South Pacific Ocean.

“Qigong classes help people centre their bodies whilst martial arts assist in rediscovering one’s inner strength.

“Norfolk Island is long-regarded as a wonderful place to holiday with family and friends or escape with a loved one.

“In addition to fabulous culinary experiences, countless activities include swimming, fishing, snorkelling, kayaking, surfing and horse riding.

“There are glass bottom boat tours and ocean trips to Phillip Island, and attractions including Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama and the World of Norfolk Exhibit.

“A further attraction of historical significance is the World Heritage listed Kingston and Arthurs Vale Historic Area, the oldest of the 11 Australian penal colonies.”
