New Chief Executive begins at Play Australia

Robyn Monro Miller has taken up the role of interim Chief Executive at Play Australia, filling the role formerly occupied by Barbara Champion - who stepped down in November last year after leading the organisation for 25 years.

On social media Monro Miller advised “I have signed up to a new adventure in 2023, leading Play Australia into the next chapter in their 109 year history.

“(I am) looking forward to working in a part time capacity in 2023 as interim CEO, with the Board led by Alli Coster and Carly Goodrich and the great team, that has been established.”

Monro Miller (pictured), a Play Australia board member and World President of the International Play Association (IPA), was named a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the Queen’s Birthday 2022 Honours List for her outstanding leadership and advocacy of play.

Play Australia will remain an advocate for every child’s right to play, as enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
