New Chair and Registrar for NZ Registration Body

The New Zealand Register of Exercise Professionals has recently appointed Jo Clark as its the new Chair.

Clark is currently the Fitness General Manager for the YMCA Auckland group, and has almost 20 years industry experience in both New Zealand and the UK. Bringing both excellent industry knowledge along with a passion for the industry, Jo joins existing members Dave Liow and Jim Bagley on the REPs board.

Wendy Sweet and Richard Beddie have now stepped down from the REPs board having finished their terms of appointment. With REPS since its inception, Wendy was instrumental in helping to develop both the technical standards on which REPs is based, and also guide REPs during its early years.

REPs has also recently appointed its first Registrar, Stephen Gacsal, to overseas the further development of REPs at an operational level. Stephen was a former club owner for 15 years, and has an extensive background in finance, and development of systems. The Registrar will enable REPs to further develop itself as the industry benchmark.
