National Visitor Survey results released
Research released by Tourism Research Australia shows that despite Australian travellers taking fewer overnight trips (down 2% on the same period in 2007), expenditure has increased by 4% to $44.7 billion for the year ended 30th June 2008. Expenditure for day visitors has also increased from $13.9 billion in 2007 to $14.1 billion.
