National Synthetic Surfaces Conference and Expo
With ever-growing interest in synthetic sport and recreation surfaces, Parks and Leisure Australia's NSW branch have partnered with Smart Connection Company and Interpoint Events to launch the inaugural National Synthetic Surfaces Conference and Expo.
The Conference and Expo will attract sports organisations, government departments and agenices, facility operators, architects and designers, playground manufacturers, surface providers and the education sector within a single event.
With a range of International speakers from international sport governing bodies, renowned researchers and academics together with peak bodies from sport, local government, play, health and recreation all committing to be involved, the event will be held at Sydney's Rosehill Race Course on 12th and 13th June.
The Expo will also be the largest synthetic surfaces trade exhibition in Australia with suppliers from synthetic sports turf, landscape grass, sports surfaces, play surfaces, sports equipment, playground equipment and maintenance companies. The Expo will also be open to allow non-conference attendees the opportunity to experience the latest products and services available while awareness and attract additional delegates for the educational awareness and product launch program.
In addition, industry associations will be grouped in one area within the Expo with the capability to share their knowledge with the market.
More than 250 delegates from Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region are expected to attend the conference to network, learn, see, touch and experience the latest in the synthetic surfaces industry.
Delegates are expected to be drawn from:
Education Sector: Schools, tertiary education facility managers, PE staff and principals
Sports Sector: International, state and national sports peak bodies; clubs, associations, leagues and program providers
Government Sector: Local planners, asset managers, parks and recreation professionals, state and federal government managers and strategists
Play Sector: Playground managers, planners, play groups, play centre operators
Recreation Facility Providers: Local service providers, chains of service providers, leisure and sport centre managers
Sports Centre Operators: Small sided football centres, tennis centres, hockey centres, cricket centres, multi-sport centres
Consultants, architects and landscapers, investors, insurers and other interested parties.
The two day conference will also include site visits and an official networking reception.
