Myrtha displays versatility and innovation

With more than 170 Myrtha swimming pool projects completed in Australia and New Zealand, the Italian-based company’s stainless steel swimming pool technologies and RenovAction restoration technologies are its best known products.

However, Myrtha Pools technology is installed in settings ranging from elite competition pools, community aquatic centres, health clubs and spa pools, institutional pools, and resort pools and waterparks (the most recent being all larger pools and water retaining structures at Wet'n'Wild Sydney).

In addition to a pool structures, Myrtha Pools also offers an extensive catalogue of special solutions and accessories, including circulation systems, bulkheads, floating and moveable floors, training aids, lighting products, competition accessories and wellness aids.

New and innovative technologies from Myrtha Pools include:

The Myrtha Backstoke System - a new footrest prototype, developed in cooperation with Omega, that has been designed to facilitate the departure of backstroke athletes during competitions. The footrest provides a stable support for the athlete on the wall and allows for a faster and safer push without risk of slipping.

Rowing training technology for the Trent University Rowing Centre, Canada, with Myrtha installing two pools able to accommodate and facilitate the training of eight rowers or 16 dragon boat paddlers.

Virtual Training, with LED strips installed on the pool floor to pace the training activity of swimmers. The system contains a number of preinstalled training programs and can be operated easily with a wireless system.

Myrtha’s technology and versatility will be explained in a feature in May/June 2014 issue of Australasian Leisure Management.
