Microphone protection innovation from Aerobic Microphones Australia

Aerobic Microphones Australia (AMA) has introduced a further refinement of its current Aeromic and Cyclemic headworn microphones for fitness instructors with the introduction of a carbon protector around the capsule.

The protector is designed to be acoustically transparent and protect the mesh in front of the capsule from getting clogged or wet from sweat or spit.

Introducing the innovation, Aeromic designer and manufacturer Peter Paisley explains "this development will overcome issues of having to re-mesh existing mics at the customers cost during the three year warranty period under the fair wear and tear exclusion as the mesh will no long come into contact with the user's skin."

AMA Chief Executive John Penhallow said the new versions had been on trial at three Sydney fitness clubs over the past four months with excellent results and entirely positive feedback from the users and the A/V technicians who look after the microphone systems.

Penhallow added "we won't be removing the famous 'Do Not Bend' advice from the yellow boom-arm but if instructors do insist on bending it inwards then the capsule will be at less of a risk because of the new Carbon Collar protecting it."

The Aeromic and Cyclemic are made in Sydney and sell for around $495 in Australia. They can be ordered with connectors for many different brands of wireless transmitters including the Fitness Audio brand that is made for AMA to best suit Fitness Industry conditions.

AMA will be exhibiting on Stand N36 at the 2014 Australian Fitness & Health Expo.
