Microhire expands into New Zealand market with JW Marriott Auckland agreement
Microhire, one of the largest Australian-owned audio-visual and event staging services suppliers, has officially launched into the New Zealand market after signing its first property agreement with luxury hotel JW Marriott Auckland in December 2023.
Strengthening the five-star property’s position as a leader in event technology, Microhire has made a significant investment in audio-visual equipment and services to refurbish JW Marriott Auckland’s conference spaces which is due to reopen in April 2024.

Microhire has outfitted JW Marriott Auckland with the latest audio-visual technology to elevate its event spaces. The installation includes nearly 50 square meters of high-definition LED and 4K wireless video conferencing systems integrated with 98" UHD LED screens, ensuring unparalleled visual clarity and connectivity.
Refurbishing the JW Marriott Auckland ballroom, Microhire installed 24 LED moving head effect lights to offer a dynamic and adaptable light environment. Whether it is a corporate conference or a gala dinner, lighting systems by Microhire can create the perfect atmosphere to match every event’s theme.
In terms of audio, the upgrades are equally as impressive. Featuring advanced speakers and dynamic subwoofers, the enhancements deliver rich, immersive soundscapes across all event spaces.
