Merlin Entertainments spotlight new experiences for Sydney summer season
Merlin Entertainments has spotlighted its offerings for the Sydney summer season with new experiences including Immersive Gamebox virtual worlds and posing with Madame Tussauds’ Ariana Grande. Returning for summer are the popular penguin encounters at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium while also on offer are opportunities for reconnecting at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and taking on sky high adventures at the Sydney Tower Eye.
Opening on 21st December, Immersive Gamebox will offer an unforgettable immersive gaming experience that will ignite the spirit of adventure and fun through interactive smart rooms.
Picture motion tracking, projection mapping, touch screens and surround sound, all work in harmony to transport you to a virtual world without bulky headsets. Eight free-standing Gameboxes will be available for hire, each accommodating 2-6 players per session. Games will range from an exciting 30 minutes to an epic 120-minute adventure. This means there's something for everyone, whether you're up for a quick challenge or an all-day gaming extravaganza.
With over 13 games to choose from, including Squid Game based on the hit Netflix show, Angry Birds, PAW Patrol, Shaun the Sheep, Ghostbusters and a new thrilling ‘AI Nightmare.’ This means there’s something for everyone - from young adults to families, corporate groups and gamers.

Madame Tussauds Sydney welcomes Ariana Grande who makes her long-awaited return to Australia! Headlining exclusively in the Sydney Live zone this summer, for a limited time only. Guests can relive the magic of her album eras, taking control of the concert backdrops with a spectrum of colours to choose from 'Sweetener' pastels to the shades of 'Dangerous Woman’.

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium Penguin Encounters are back and available from Friday 15th December, just in time for summer. Guests 14 years and over can enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with Sydney’s only sub-Antarctic penguin colony. Suiting up in snow gear, this 45-minute exclusive keeper-led tour takes penguin enthusiasts onto the ice, venturing behind-the-scenes to meet the birds in their state-of-the-art exhibit.
Guests can board the penguin boat ride (included in general admission) bringing them into the chilly world where majestic king and cheeky gentoo penguins waddle, hop, slip and slide – plus, catch a daily penguin keeper talk!

WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo offers visitors the experience of getting up close to Australia’s most iconic wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos, Ringo the rescued wombat, Jackie the platypus and a trio of freshwater crocodiles, located right in the heart of Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
A range of Aussie animal adventures to choose from is on offer including the must-do Koala Breakfast.
