Marketeers head to Sport is Fantastic conference

This year's Sport is Fantastic conference is to again bring some of the world's foremost sport marketers and sponsorship experts to Australia.

Over 10 international speakers from outside Australasia are confirmed including North American sport marketing guru Bernie Mullin along with Shawn Hunter - the man who helped take David Beckham from Madrid to Los Angeles.

Speaking at the conference for the first time are Mick Hogan, Chief Executive of Wigan Rugby League and Paul Andrews, Executive Vice President of the Denver Nuggets (NBA franchise), the Colorado Avalanche (NHL franchise) and the Colorado Rapids (MLS franchise). Minor League Baseball is also represented through Linda McNabb whose organization owns six Minor League teams.

Daragh Persse, Vodafone's Global Head of Sponsorship and Brand Engagement will be another top international keynote speaker.

The Sport is Fantastic 2009 Conference is to be held at Melbourne's Etihad Stadium on 1st and 2nd June 2009. It follows the successful 2008 Sport is Fantastic conference held at Sydney's ANZ Stadium.
