Marine Environments added to curriculum for Singapore Students
Mystic Aquarium and its parent, Sea Research Foundation, is extending marine science education to south east Asia.
Sea Research, which oversees science programs with the National Geographic Society of the USA, has entered an agreement with Singapore's Resorts World Sentosa to develop a marine environmental curriculum for students in the region.
Sea Research President and Chief Executive Stephen Coan says contents will come from Mystic Aquarium, which is known for marine animal research.
As part of the three-year agreement, Sea Research and the National Geographic Society will work with Resorts World Sentosa's new marine life park in Singapore to bring science programs to students in south east Asia.
Set to open in 2012, Resorts World Sentosa's marine life park is set to be the largest oceanarium in the world.
