Luna Park Venues scores multiple successes in government and association sector
The popularity of Luna Park Sydney as a venue for government and association sector events has soared over recent years, with the Luna Park Venues team attaining a stellar reputation as a venue that can provide a high standard of event planning and delivery.
The success is backed by a specialist Government and Association sales team that includes Gary Manuel, Kristy O’Brien and their newest recruit Paul Ellis, who brings with him over 13 years experience in the events and sales space.
Hosting a variety of high profile and notable events in the government and association sector, over the past 12 months the team has successfully hosted a number of complex and high profile events including AuSAF Drinks Association and the NSW Business Chamber State Tourism and Business Awards.
James Granter, Luna Park Venues General Manager of Sales explains “coordinating events at this scale means that the Luna Park Venues team has to maintain a flexible and highly responsive approach to ensure guests have the most enjoyable experience possible.”
The team is currently working with the International Bar Association on a Luna Park exclusive event for later this year. The brief from the client was to incorporate an Australian produce menu encapsulating all regions of Australia with matching wines. Executive Chef, Mark Taylor, and his experienced team have assisted in crafting this unique menu. Taylor and his team have also recently refreshed the conference-catering menu, placing an emphasis on fresh seasonal produce, to cater for a wide variety of different tastes and styles to suit all occasions.
The success of the team has been recognised by industry insiders, having recently been nominated as a finalist in two categories, Best Function and Best Convention Centre Caterer at the RCA Catering Awards, as well as being nominated as a finalist in the Wedding Caterer category.
The success of the sales and events team has played a crucial role in the revenue generated across the whole of the Luna Park precinct, with Granter advising that “many people did not realise that 50% of the park’s revenue is earned from outside the theme park tickets.”
Explaining that the venues team prides itself on their first class service, Government and Association Team Manager, Paul Ellis adds “we work meticulously with clients to bring their events to life by providing unique event concepts and solutions to ensure all outcomes are met, from the budget all the way through to the guests’ experience on the day.”
Ellis believes the variety of venues as well as the unique location has been a major reason for Luna Park Venues success.
As Government client concludes Anthony Frangopoulous concludes “the quality of service at Luna Park as a venue is first class. Its iconic location, flexible spaces and large areas are a real asset to Sydney’s business community.
“What has really impressed me though is the quality of the catering and the professionalism of management and staff. I’ve found that at both major events and more intimate business sessions … the product has been first rate.”
Luna Park Venues will this be hosting the Performing Arts Exchange (PAX) conference gala dinner.
