As the UK representative on the Committee for European Standardisation (CEN) we have intimate knowledge in the processes required to bring standards to the marketplace (which can be a very long winded affair). Since the introduction of BSEN 748 (senior size football goals) and a variety of campaigns by governing bodies and manufacturers alike, the number of incidents in the UK has been dramatically reduced. The education process is never easy as standards have to be adopted as best practice, but we pride ourselves on producing kit that is widely recognised at the safest goals in the market place.
