Katapult collaboration creates new LEGO experience
Themed attraction designers, Katapult, has collaborated with The LEGO® Group and Merlin Entertainments to unveil a new experience at 11 LEGOLAND® Discovery Centres celebrating LEGO® DOTS.
LEGO DOTS is an entirely new way to play with LEGO®. Working collaboratively with The LEGO® Group and Merlin Entertainments, Katapult designed and produced an engaging experience that captures the crafty and expressive nature of DOTS – featuring a DOTS cart, campervan, spinning festival letters, decor and activities.
The DOTS Festival, which is live across Asia, Europe and North America, has become an engaging event with LEGO DOTS workshops, hands-on play and creativity.
Commenting on the activation, The LEGO Group Marketing Manager, Martin Weber Thomsen notes “Katapult has done a great job developing and delivering this new exciting LEGO DOTS Festival experience, which will allow families and most importantly kids the creative freedom to highlight their own self-expression at LEGOLAND Discovery Centres”.
Katapult Chief Executive and Co-Founder, Dawn Foote added “we were delighted to work alongside The LEGO Group & Merlin Entertainments to deliver this new DOTS experience. Our team has worked incredibly hard to design and deliver an activation that embodied the DOTS play experience – we have loved hearing the feedback from guests and from the LEGO Discovery Centre sites.”
Katapult designs themed attractions and experiences at over 81 attractions, in 20 different countries.
