International stream at Victoria's AUSTSWIM Teacher Professional Development Day

Aquatics & Recreation Victoria and AUSTSWIM have announced that this year's Victorian AUSTSWIM Teacher Professional Development Day will have a unique international flavour.

To be held on Sunday 4th May 2014 at Methodist Ladies' College, Kew, the international professional development day will feature world renowned presenters, including Robert Keig Stallman, Torril Hindmarch and Stephen Langendorfer.

The event offers delegates the opportunity to connect with and learn from swimming and water safety education experts who have been strong influencers in researching and setting trends that impact world-wide.

The presenters will talk about developmental concepts such as water competency, progression and motor movement, while considering matters from the perspective of participants, teachers, parents and carers.

Presentations will challenge traditional views, expand thinking, offer options beyond the norm and enhance knowledge and scope.

ARV have also announced details of their 2014 industry awards, for which nominations need to be submitted via 'Dropbox' technology.

Key dates for the awards are as follows:

Friday 14th March - Nominations close for Facility Management Award (Seasonal)

Monday 14th April - Nominations close for all other award categories

Friday 13th June - ARV Industry Awards Gala Presentation Night
