International Quadratics partners with SPASA NSW to deliver pool management training

International Quadratics (IQ) and the Swimming Pool and Spa Association (SPASA) NSW have reached an agreement that will see IQ will offer and conduct swimming pool training competencies.
The agreement will cover the SPASA3001A unit of competency (Chemically treat Swimming Pools & Spas) for the Certificate III in Swimming Pool Repairs, Servicing and Interior Finishes. This Unit is one of the compulsory units required to achieve a license to service pools and spas.
SPASA NSW has been a pioneer in education and training for the swimming pool and spa industry since 1997 and has educated over 5,000 learners since inception - of which 2,200 learners have been awarded formal qualifications.
For the past three years, SPASA NSW, as an accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO), has offered National Accredited Training to the swimming pool industry including Certificate III and Certificate IV courses.
Over the past three years, IQ has also been conducted their own courses ranging from 'Basic Pool Chemistry' for new retail employees right through to 'Advanced pool chemistry' and ' Problem solving' aimed at pool professionals wanting to increase their chemistry knowledge.
Explaining the new partnership, SPASA NSW Chief Executive Spiros Dassakis stated "we were impressed with IQ's commitment to training and education as well as their desire to become a conduit in providing the pool and spa service sector with formalised qualifications. "International Quadratics' chemical experience, along with Chris Smith as a qualified trainer, makes them an ideal company to partner with to deliver this Unit of Competency. I am sure the Swimming Pool industry throughout Australia will greatly benefit from SPASA NSW making Accredited Courses available through companies such as IQ."
International Quadratics will conduct the first of these courses in June in NSW followed by selected dates in every state of Australia.
Those interested in participating can contact Chris Smith of International Quadratics on 02 9774 5550.
