IHRSA publication seeks Fitness Industry support for Global Goals
A new publication from The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA), 230 Million by 2030: The Global Movement to Increase Health Club Membership & Physical Activity ('230 Million by 2030'), continues to promote the health and fitness industry with a goal of having a total of 230 million health club members by 2030.
Over a year in the making, 230 Million by 2030 includes the latest relevant research and insights from IHRSA experts and thought leaders in the global health and fitness industry.
Introducing the initiative, IHRSA President and Chief Executive, Joe Moore advised "the health and fitness industry has never backed away from a challenge.
“As we move into a new decade, health club owners, industry suppliers, and fitness professionals need to step forward and make the case for bold action in combating the global health crisis caused by lifestyle factors.”
IHRSA Executive Vice President of global products, Jay Ablondi added “the challenges and opportunities of a connected world will become more intense over the next 10 years.
“230 Million by 2030 provides all industry stakeholders a roadmap of the business, societal and environmental landscape as it exists today - and for the years ahead - so that the thousands of talented entrepreneurs and fitness professionals that drive our industry can better prepare for the future.”
IHRSA hopes this publication helps the industry make historical progress in producing a healthier, fitter global population.
Moore will highlight 230 Million by 2030 during his address before the 18th March opening keynote during IHRSA 2020.
