Historic Katoomba Falls Kiosk event space officially reopens
The historic Katoomba Falls Kiosk, situated within Katoomba Falls Reserve, has reopened offering hireable meeting and event spaces, providing a versatile venue for individuals, groups, and businesses at an affordable rate.
A significant part of the Blue Mountains landscape for more than a century, Katoomba Falls Kiosk has now been refreshed and repurposed, offering a chance to enjoy coffee and food with some of the most breathtaking views over the Jamison Valley.
The Blue Mountains Council-run kiosk will generate an income stream for Council, which will be reinvested back into the community.
From its humble beginnings as a tent known as ‘Blighty’ in the late 1800s, to the brick structure that stands today, the Katoomba Falls Kiosk has long been a beloved place where visitors have gathered to rest, relax, and marvel at the magnificent views.
Blue Mountains Council is inviting the community to the official opening on Saturday and Sunday, 15th and 16th March 2025 with the event featuring live music and entertainment, food trucks and refreshments, games, giveaways and activities, a magic show, face painting, balloon twisting, colouring comp and party bags, art shows, a best Instagram pic competition, and a dog show event on Sunday.
Blue Mountains Mayor Mark Greenhill will attend to officially open the local landmark and noted “this historic building holds a special place in our hearts, and its reopening means residents and visitors alike can once again enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and incredible location.
“I am looking forward to getting together with the community to celebrate the next chapter in this iconic building’s long history.”
The Katoomba Falls Kiosk is open from 8am to 4pm, seven days a week.
