Healthy Inspirations studio helps members achieve 10,000 kilogram weight loss

The Healthy Inspirations studio in the Adelaide suburb of Prospect has become the group’s seventh franchise to have helped members have lose over 10,000 kilos.

Commenting on the achievement of her members, which coincided with the 10th anniversary of the studio’s operation, franchise owner Nola Bellenger advised “it’s our 10th birthday and we’re thrilled to hit our goal of helping our members lose 10,000 kilos.

“There’s a definite relationship between our members achieving their goals and me achieving my financial and lifestyle goals as a franchisee.”

Healthy Inspirations Franchisor Jamie Hayes explains "the keys to our success are our unique weight loss program based upon helping every member learn her body's individual carbohydrate tolerance using healthy fresh foods, combined with weekly one-on-one coaching sessions and resistance exercise.

As we schedule all 15-minute coaching sessions back-to-back to maximise staff efficiency, the 24/7 gives members access without undue staff costs. This makes it a low-cost high-yield small business.

"As our membership is based upon results not facilities, our premium fees means that most franchisees break even with just 120 members and only need 120 square metre².

“It’s a very low-cost franchise that can afford higher-rent locations that are female-friendly. There’s no doubt that many larger fitness centres are trying to be non-intimidating and attractive to 35-65 women who want to lose weight, but we’ve found that this is a market that just aren’t inclined to go to a regular fitness centre regardless of how well it is run.”

Hayes adds “to succeed at weight loss, our franchisees use our unique program that can be delivered by company-trained staff.

“It’s an expert system designed by our consultant dietitians that can be delivered by non-experts: franchisees and their staff do not need to have nutrition qualifications. The system delivers predictable, sustainable results. Some of our franchisees are personal trainers and they also offer PT, which increases their income further. We also have two large fitness club owners who also operate a Healthy Inspirations studio within their premises. This means they are attracting and controlling more markets in their area."

Hayes has long had a vision that the fitness industry can be the leading supplier of weight loss programs in the country.

As part of this he also licenses the dietflex weight loss program to fitness clubs.

Healthy Inspirations Prospect was the group’s first studio to convert to 24/7 operation.
