Hassall appointed Fury Chief Executive
Dean Hassall has taken up the role of Chief Executive of new A-League club North Queensland Fury.
The former Assistant General Manager of Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium, Dean is set to lead the new club into its inaugural A-League season later this year.
Hassall was previously Business Development Manager with Sport and Recreation Queensland and General Manager of Brisbane's former ANZ Stadium.
In his new role he will focus on enticing North Queensland sporting fans to football, stating "I think the greatest challenge for the club is to be competitive on the field, I think that's our first challenge, and certainly secondly is having the community embrace the club."
Fury Chairman Don Matheson said Hassall `ticked all the right boxes' to steer the club into its debut A-League season and beyond, stating "Dean has excellent administration and management skills and, importantly, has a solid background in stadium and event management."
