H2O Pro to end its provision of Pool Lifeguard Training

H2O Pro have announced that, effective from the end of February 2019, they will no longer be offering Pool Lifeguard and First Aid training.

Established in 1997 to provide the aquatic industry with an alternative pool lifeguard training deliverer to Royal Life Saving Society - Australia, H2O Pro has grown to become the longest established RTO in Victoria offering pool lifeguard courses.

Business owner and General Manager Greg Goullet recalls that at the time industry groups in Victoria were seeking an alternative provider who could offer more flexible training options to that being prescribed by Royal Life Saving.

While predominately Victorian based, H2O Pro have also had clients in Western Australia, Northern Territory, NSW and Queensland.

With its dedicated team of trainers, the company has trained over 30,000 pool lifeguards in their 22 years of operation.

Over the years, Goullet and H2O Pro have been heavily involved in industry developments including input into training package developments, reviewing of training techniques and also work with Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV).

The decision to exit the pool lifeguard training area has been a tough one for Goullet, but he said the time is right to have a break and pursue other business interests.

The loss of H2O Pro as a training provider will have a big impact in Victoria, particularly in rural areas, as they were well regarded for offering courses in regional areas particularly for small groups.

Goullet is also a Life Member of ARV.
