Grand Prix circuit build underway at Albert Park
The 2024 Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix circuit build is underway at Albert Park with the huge build featuring 12 kilometres of track barriers, 99 portable buildings and more than 36,000 square metres of corporate facilities.
More than 45,000 grandstand seats are anticipated to be packed with visitors from across Victoria, interstate and overseas as thousands flock to Melbourne to see the world’s best drivers race in Albert Park.
While fans soak up the on-track action, off the track there will be trackside entertainment, live music and food and wine from the biggest names in Victoria’s restaurant scene.
The four-day Grand Prix continues to be a pillar of the state’s enviable major events calendar since it moved to Victoria from South Australia in 1996 and is secured in Victoria until 2037.
The Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix runs from 21st-24th March, with limited tickets available over the race weekend at grandprix.com.au.
Australian Grand Prix Corporation Chief Executive Travis Auld shared “we are counting down the days until we can welcome fans through the gates of the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit for what we are sure will be another record breaking and phenomenal four days.
“Melbourne comes to life at this time of year with so many events. It’s through the support of the community here and the Victorian Government that we can continue to grow and improve the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix.”
