Gold Coast resort opens largest waterpark
The Zagames Paradise Resort Gold Coast has launched what it says is the biggest Aqua Play waterpark in a resort in the southern hemisphere.
Opened at the beginning of October, the entire central area of the former Mercure Resort, Surfers Paradise has been transformed into a massive water play area, featuring a giant central pool, large heated spa and two enormous Aqua Play attractions.
The larger of the AquaPlay structures is three stories high and has been equipped by supplier WhiteWater West Australia with a myriad of slides, water cannons and climbing nets, topped off with a giant bucket dumping 600 litres of water over guests below in one enormous splash every few minutes.
A smaller AquaPlay area caters for younger children with a new paddling area with a gently sloping beach entry.
This new addition to the resort is just the first phase in its complete refurbishment.
Located near the heart of Surfers Paradise, the family friendly Zagames Paradise Resort Gold Coast offers 4 star facilities including the million dollar themed Z4K (Zone 4 Kids club), tropical pools, restaurants and bar.
