G'day Group acquires Coffin Bay Caravan Park
Following the G’day Group’s acquisition of Coffin Bay Caravan Park, the seaside property will this summer be known as Discovery Parks – Coffin Bay. The property has been within the Group as an independently owned G’day Park.
Coffin Bay is situated at the southern tip of South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula with the Caravan park located right on the esplanade, a stone’s throw from the water.
The park is surrounded by national park and offers a wide range of accommodation; from deluxe holiday villas to cabins and grass powered sites.
G’day Group Chief Executive, Grant Wilckens, said the family-owned property is a stunning park in a spectacular location.
Wilckens notes “The owners of this property, Andrew and Sharon, have created an exceptional holiday experience with safari tents, quality cabins and facilities. From an adventure playground to great BBQ and gazebo areas it’s a place where you can relax amongst nature with all your creature comforts.
“With the national park on the doorstep, and emus and kangaroos roam freely through the property, it’s a real natural paradise.
“Located between our Streaky Bay and Whyalla properties, the acquisition is strategic for us. We hope guests will choose to stay within our properties as they explore the Eyre Peninsula.”
The Coffin Bay Caravan Park sits upon land managed the District Council of the Lower Eyre Peninsula. Discovery Holiday Parks will take over the lease for the land.
Wilckens added “we're really excited to be custodians of this property and look forward to working with Lower Eyre Council to realise its potential.”
