Funfields announces 27th November season opening
With extensive COVIDSafe plans in place, and in line with Victorian Government regulations, Funfields has announced it will be open for the summer season as 10am on Friday 27th November.
Advising that after a long wait, he and the Funfields team can’t wait to see the park filled with guests again, Funfields General Manager - Operations, Sam Holdich, stated “we are thrilled with the prospect of reopening and welcoming our guests back next week. It has been a difficult time for a lot of Victorian’s, so we are looking forward to putting some smiles back on the faces of Melbournians and helping them to create memories with us here at the park over summer.
“The safety of our guests and team members is of the upmost importance to us, so we have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure we are opening in a COVIDSafe way. This includes increased cleaning regimes, sanitiser stations, staff training and providing masks and other PPE for our team members while also ensuring we are adhering to capacity restrictions and social distancing guidelines set out by the Victorian Government.”
Offering over 24 rides and attractions including the Volcano Beach Wave Pool, Funfields has something for all ages with nine thrill seeking adventure rides, including the record-breaking Typhoon and Gravity Wave.
The Typhoon, at a length of 137 metres, is the world’s largest ProSlide CannonBowl water slide and the Gravity Wave, which launches you from an eyewatering height of 27.1 metres, is the world’s biggest, longest and tallest ProSlide Wave
If laying by the pool is more your style, hire a private VIP beach hut for the day to recharge those batteries and get a good dose of vitamin D.
From its first incarnation as the Alpine Toboggan Park back in 1985, Funfields Theme Park has transformed into a world-class amusement destination and last year was voted ‘Victoria’s Hottest Theme Park’.
