Fitbit launches technology products in Australia

Internationally renowned connected health and fitness brand Fitbit has launched its products, websites and mobile apps in Australia.

Consisting of the Ultra Wireless Activity + Sleep Tracker, the Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scales, Fitbit.com, iPhone and Android apps the Fitbit system allows everyday activity and fitness progress to be tracked, while wirelessly uploading information to a personal fitness dashboard at the Fitbit website.com.

The revolutionary Fitbit Ultra Wireless Activity and Sleep Tracker is much more than a pedometer it measures all-day activity including steps, calories burned, distance travelled, stairs/hills climbed and how long and how well users sleep for.

This is the first product widely available in Australia which combines a pedometer, accelerometer, altimeter and a sleep tracker. It is the market leader in the connected Health and Fitness category in the US and has been endorsed by the likes of Time Magazine, New York Times, Heidi Klum and Martha Stewart.

Research carried out also found that those who used Fitbit increased their steps by an average of an amazing 43%.

The Ultra Wireless Activity + Sleep Tracker retails at $119.95 and the Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale $149.95. Both products will be available in Harvey Norman and other selected stores.

Fitbit has a Facebook community and can be followed on Twitter for updates.
