First tracks open at Mt Buller ahead of official opening of the snow season

Following a period of early season snow falls, Victorian resort Mt Buller opened for skiing and snowboarding on Friday (5th June) a day ahead of the official opening of the snow season.

Mt Buller’s Blue Bullet Express and Bourke St Carpet were running on Friday, while two more lifts, ABOM Express and Wombat Chair opening today (Saturday) to mark the official start to the 2015 snow season.

The resort has received an extra 10cm of fresh snow through Thursday, and with temperatures sinking as low as -3.7 degrees, snow making has continued over recent days.

Mt Buller will be marking the start of the season with free activities and live entertainment in the Village Square.
