FIFA Football Turf seminar
The international football governing body, FIFA, in conjunction with Football Federation Australia, Football NSW and Football Federation Victoria, is to stage a series of seminars to introduce the FIFA Quality Concept for Football Turf.
The full day seminars are being held on Wednesday 14th May at Acer Arena, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW; on Friday 16th May at the Veneto Club, Bulleen, Victoria and on Monday 19th May at the BGC Stadium in Perth.
There is no cost associated with attendance at these seminars.
The FIFA Quality Concept is a rigorous test program for artificial surfaces wherein successful manufacturers are able to enter into a licensing program for the use of the prestigious FIFA Recommended Mark for football turf fields.
The testing regime ensures that only artificial turf of the best quality with the highest technical standards is able to gain FIFA endorsement.
All over the world, football turf pitches with a 'FIFA RECOMMENDED' mark provide the best possible playing conditions. Irrespective of the location, time or climate, a football turf pitch with the internationally accepted FIFA seal of approval unites excellent playing conditions similar to those on a good grass pitch with the advantages of an artificial pitch: longer playability, less maintenance work and costs, and high resistance to weather and climatic changes. Football Turf for great matches.
Artificial football pitches are nothing new in Australia but their provision is generally rare. However, with pressures of drought and over-use (predominantly as a result of the constnat growth in player numbers) affecting current natural turf field provision, the options of artificial turf are increasingly attractive.
The presentation will specifically focus on the use and application of artificial surfaces and provide information regarding the benefits and opportunities of such products.
All clubs, councils and shires, government departments, sport and recreation planners and consultants, artificial turf providers, schools and other interested stakeholders are invited to attend.
