Executive Advisor to LOCOG's Lord Coe to speak at London Olympics experiences event

Michael Pirrie, Executive Advisor to London Olympics Chairman Lord Coe, has been added to the speaker line up at the upcoming 'London, I knew you well' event.
Pirrie is the only Australian and only former member of the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games to have been part of the whole London 2012 Games planning and preparations. Pirrier, who was involved from the very beginning of the London bid through to briefing the organisers of the 2016 Games in Rio de Janiero, has a unique perspective on the whole Games event experience and process which he will share with attendees at the upcoming event in Sydney.
To be held from 5.30 to 8.30pm on Monday 17th December 2012 at the Imperial Hotel Paddington Social Club in Sydney, 'London, I knew you well' is presented by respected sport export advisor Eric Winton and his New Millennium Business consultancy.
With Australian businesses and individual professionals having played key roles at the London Olympics, Pirie joins three other Australian professionals who were closely involved with the 2012 Games.
Other speakers at the event are:
Jackie Brock-Doyle who headed the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games' (LOCOG) communications and public affairs and whose first foray into major events was with SOCOG for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Jackie has just been named the United Kingdom's Public Relations Professional of 2012.
Kerrie Nash who headed LOCOG's workforce planning and delivery and who also emerged as a professional with SOCOG.
Louise Evans, until recently a top journalist with The Australian who offers an unparalleled perspective over many major international sporting events and was engaged by LOCOG during the London Games.
Event organiser Winton explains "the excitement of the London Olympics is over, yet keeps unfolding.
"The success of the Games has many facets and of course there were unexpected challenges. At 'London, I knew you well' (delegates) will hear from and meet top level movers and shakers who created the Games, who were already there from the time of London's bid success. This is an unusually rare chance to hear some personal insights from three excellent professionals.
"There are some valuable lessons for us all (while) the evening will allow (interaction with) many people from the major events industry, some just back from overseas - and that doesn't happen very often!"
