Evolve Facility Management announced as new operator for Perth Motorplex

Evolve Facility Management, a subsidiary of the Australian National Drag Racing Association Ltd (ANDRA) has been announced as the new operator for Perth Motorplex and will commence operations from mid-February 2021. The appointment follows an extensive procurement process by venue owner VenuesWest.

Evolve Facility Management has signed a multi-year lease agreement with the Western Australian Government and will take over operations from current interim operator VenuesWest, assuming responsibility for management of all aspects of event delivery across drag racing, speedway, burnouts and special events.

Evolve's parent company, ANDRA, is well known and respected within the motorsport community, sanctioning races at all levels across the country and serving as Australia's official controlling body for drag racing.

This appointment will provide the assurance the WA motorsport community has sought since KMPL concluded as the venue operator in 2016, with the future of the operations of Perth Motorplex now secure.

Experienced motorsport administrator Paul Trengove has been appointed to the position of Commercial and Operations Manager and will lead the Perth Motorplex team.

WA Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray noted "ANDRA - Evolve's parent company - is well known and respected by the industry, and have been sanctioning events at Perth Motorplex for many years. WA motorsport fans can rest easy knowing the future of the Motorplex is in safe hands.

"The Perth Motorplex has a lengthy and successful history and I look forward to seeing many successful years of racing and events at WA's best motorsports facility.

"I would like to thank VenuesWest for their management of Perth Motorplex over recent years, and throughout process of working to secure Evolve as the long-term operator of the venue."

ANDRA Chief Executive, Brett Stevens added "There is no doubt that the Perth Motorplex is one of the world's truly great motorsport facilities. It is arguably the premier speedway and drag racing venue in the country.
