Fitness industry professionals challenged to share members' positive stories
Exercise physiologist and FitPod Australia Manager Adam Westphal is challenging fitness industry professionals to make the most of the positive stories that successful clients and members have to tell.
With everybody's heart beating around 86,400 times each day, Westphal sees that fitness participants have the same number of good news to tell about their wellness journey.
As an industry focussed on wellness, Westphal explains “businesses are always looking for ways to connect with their members (and) my view is that every heartbeat tells a story, so capture that story and tell it.
"The fitness industry has so much easily accessible, reliable and valuable information and data source that all-too-often goes untapped. It’s like having a window into our health and not to opening our eyes.”
Westphal adds that wearable heart rate monitoring technology can help capture these stories, provide training insight, and aid connection with members and clients.
As for what wearable technology you should choose, Westphal highlights that there are plenty of great options on the market.
He suggests “investing in technology that can track heart rate, current activity, and also provide guidance on when members will be ready for their next session.
“The latest technology is (also) forward thinking and provides training guidance while I also suugest looking for a system that can generate income through video advertising as this will offer excellent return on investment.”
