Event Producer sought for new Wollongong micro festival
Wollongong City Council is looking for an event producer who can engage with businesses and venues to deliver a one-off micro festival trail of live music.
This paid opportunity is open to music curators, event producers, individuals, or organisations.
The producer must be able to develop a brilliant lineup of local musicians for Live and Local - a partnership program with Wollongong City Council, the Live Music Office and APRA AMCOS.
Wollongong City Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery advised “the micro festival will take place across two days in May 2025, with performances held in a minimum of 12 venues across the Wollongong CBD. The event producer will be responsible for delivering the festival and managing all aspects of the project including working with venues, programming, and event delivery.
“The successful applicant will be supported by Council and will have the opportunity to participate in a mentorship program. This mentorship program will provide them with the necessary knowledge around the frameworks that impact and enable live music in the city.”
Expressions of Interest are open until 10am, Monday 26th August and the successful applicant will be notified in September 2024.
