Entertainment industry workforce among topics at IAAPA inaugural Middle East Trade Summit
The future workforce for the entertainment industry, an update on developments planned in Saudi Arabia, continued supply chain demands and the art of excellent customer service are among the topics to be discussed in education sessions when IAAPA hosts the first-ever Middle East Trade Summit.
After a successful summit in Dubai last year, IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, is expanding its in-person offerings in the Middle East by welcoming attendees to an all-new trade summit in Saudi Arabia in March.
The IAAPA Middle East Trade Summit will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 7th and 8th March. The full summit agenda offers access to the Trade Connections Area, a selection of educational sessions, networking events, and EDUTours like a visit to Boulevard Riyadh City - a 900,000 metre² entertainment zone - operated October to March during Riyadh Season, a state-sponsored annual entertainment and sports festival.
An EDUTour to the recently opened Boulevard World, a new world showcase with rides and entertainment spread throughout 15 zones, is also part of the program. Attendees can select either from multiple one or two-day registration options to fit their schedule.
“The Middle East is an important region and IAAPA is looking to build more relationships there while growing our membership,” said Peter van der Schans, vice president and executive director of IAAPA Europe, Middle East, Africa. “Saudi Arabia is in the midst of a boom in the attractions industry, and we are ready to support leaders there in achieving their goals.”
IAAPA is partnering with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) to support the entertainment industry in the country and to organise this event. The program includes more than 30 international speakers from established international companies like Disneyland Paris, Europa Park, Liseberg, Compangie des Alpes, Parques Reunidos and Six Flags Qiddiya.
