English Exits Tickets.com
Ian English, longtime head of tickets.com in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, has stepped down from his role of tickets.com's Chief Executive Asia and Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand.
Explaining hsi move, English advised "after some 12 plus years of living the life of Select Ticketing Systems and Tickets.com in Australia, London and Hong Kong, I have decided to look to new horizons. It has been my absolute pleasure and honour to work with you in this dynamic and enthusiastic industry and to get to know all of you over that time. Indeed, friendships have been formed that will endure I am sure.
"As I look back over the history of my time with the company, working originally from the offices of Select Ticketing Systems and using PASS1 and meeting sites all across Australia and New Zealand, then on through PASS2, PASS3, ProVenueMax and markets that spread across a pan Asia geography and now heralding in the newest generation of software, ProVenue, it brings home to me how much the industry has evolved in a relatively short time.
"I have been fortunate in my role to be able to experience local, national and global business with the company. At the same time, I have been involved with passionate and knowledgeable people who so strongly support and actively participate in not only their own business but freely give their time to the associations, industry affiliates and the like to ensure that the industry as a whole develops and prospers. To all of you, I applaud your endeavours and intent."
Tickets.com will soon be announcing his successor.
