EEAA ready for 'test event' annual conference at the new ICC Sydney

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) will deliver the EEAA 2016 Conference and Awards for Excellence at the new International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), on 30th November 2016.

A significant test event for the news ICC Sydney, EEAA will be presenting a strong program including leading international and Australian experts will explore current trends within the exhibition, event industry and broader business sectors.

The Conference will commence with leading international speaker Steve Monnington, Managing Director, Mayfield Media Strategies, who will provide a global perspective on growth and trends in mergers and acquisitions.

Paul Bloxham, Chief Economist, HSBC Bank Australia will return to the EEAA stage to present the leading economic indicators and discuss their impact on business and consumer confidence. Leading marketing strategist, Ian Macfarlane of Strategetic Consulting, will challenge how we measure marketing success in a provocative keynote.

Looking forward to the event EEAA Chief Executive Joyce DiMascio explains “the 2016 Conference will tackle some of the big issues facing our sector and we’re very pleased that we have the opportunity to do this in the exciting new convention and exhibition centre at Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

“The exhibition and event industry has demonstrated its tremendous resilience, innovation and capacity to pursue new market opportunities.

“This conference will be an important gathering of the decision makers in our community – it is important that our industry responds to the trends and changes that are occurring in the national and international landscape in order to stay agile and relevant.”

DiMascio said attendees would also hear from key industry figures including organisers and associations to provide an overview of current developments and recent impacts on trade and consumer shows.

The EEAA 2016 Conference and Awards for Excellence will be one of the official test events at the new ICC Sydney and EEAA has included tours of the venue as part of the two-day program.

The EEAA Conference is open to both Members and Non-Members and registrations are now open.
