Edmund Park Adventure Education wins 2012 Lockyer Valley Council Tourism Award
Edmund Park Adventure Education has been named winner in the Tourism category of the 2012 Lockyer Valley Business, Training & Apprenticeship awards.
Speaking on receipt of the award at a gala dinner at the weekend, Edmund Park Managing Director, Julie Woods stated "we are immensely proud to be recognised in this way.
"We have a great team, with dedicated staff who continue to ensure that we deliver a safe, enjoyable, and quality service to our many school clients, and various other community groups who have the opportunity to visit us here in beautiful Thornton."
Based at Thornton, in the Laidley Creek valley, Edmund Park Adventure Education offers outdoor education programs to primary and secondary schools from all over south east Queensland, bringing many thousands of visitors into the region. The operation also manages Camp Laurence on Lake Moogerah, and provides week long wilderness expeditions based at Elanda Point on Lake Cootharaba on the Noosa River.
Woods added "our commitment to safety, along with meaningful outcomes for our clients is at the heart of what we do, it's what we like to call the 'EP Way'."
Edmund Park has been a finalist or winner in the statewide Outdoors Queensland awards for the past three years, and was the first Queensland Camp and Outdoor Activity Provider to gain national accreditation with the Australian Camps Association in 2000.
