Destination Sport Group opens Sydney headquarters
Destination Sport Group, a leading global sports travel business, has announced the opening of a new regional headquarters in Sydney.
The opening of the Sydney office strengthens Destination Sport Group’s ability to provide its comprehensive range of sports travel services globally, including travel management for elite sporting organisations, fan travel experiences, youth sports tours, VIP travel and hospitality experiences and mass participation event travel.
The office in central Sydney will serve as the main hub of Destination Sport Group’s operations in Oceania, with its existing bases in Adelaide and Auckland continuing to provide further regional coverage - including for specialist divisions Destination Sport Experiences and inspiresport.
The opening of the Sydney HQ coincides with Destination Sport Group’s involvement in major sporting events in the region, including the British & Irish Lions Tour, the Sydney Marathon and the Ashes. It also ensures that Destination Sport Group is well-positioned to support new and existing clients including major events.
Destination Sport Group Chief Executive, Paul Hemingway, commented "our new Sydney HQ is an exciting addition to Destination Sport Group, reinforcing our ambition to set the standard in sports travel on a global basis.
“The continued investment in Oceania is testament to that and will serve as a key asset as we continue to expand our in-market presence following on from our successful involvement in the British & Irish Lions Tour and the Sydney Marathon.”
