Debitsuccess helps NZ fitness clubs get into gear

Seminar attendees hear cost-effective marketing solutions and social media strategies for building their businesses.

Debitsuccess held its most recent business seminar in Auckland in April, the theme being cost-effective sales and marketing solutions for managers of health and fitness clubs.

More than 60 delegates from the fitness industry met at the Rendezvous Hotel in Auckland city to hear a range of local and international speakers share their specialist expertise on sales, marketing and social media resources for the fitness industry.

The 'Get Your Health Club Into Gear' seminar was designed by Debitsuccess for health club owners, managers, personal trainers and membership consultants to assist them in retaining and expanding their customer base, through the use of the best creative tools that are available today.

Speakers included Wayne Pointon and Laura Risbrook from Debitsuccess, who spoke on new market trends and Debitsuccess' innovations in billing, including their comprehensive Clubware 2.0 software.

Rhonda Maughan, from Impact Training spoke about "unique selling secrets", while Rowena McEvoy of MAX International College of Fitness Professionals spoke on ways to market a business for under $70.

Alex Erasmus, a Digital Strategist, spoke on using social media tools like Facebook and Twitter to support communication in a fitness business, while Roger Westerman, Consultant for RoCa Management, spoke from his broad industry experience about successful customer retention.

Debitsuccess says feedback from attendees was highly positive.

Renee Ulberg, Senior Fitness Membership Consultant for Health & Sports, Kingsland, says: "All the speakers were very energetic and captivating. I appreciated hearing about the ways social media can help grow awareness and the importance of having an effective retention plan in place. Overall, the seminar was fantastic!"

Club Physical Chief Executive Paul Richards stated "I greatly enjoyed the seminar and found it a good investment of time, which is very precious these days and I like to invest it sparingly."

Jessica McDowell, Manager of Configure Express Milford said "I took two of my staff along with me and they came back even more motivated and full of fresh ideas".

Debitsuccess says it will be holding its next winter 2011 seminar in Wellington and says that attendees are welcome from all across the fitness industry, not just those in its own client network.
