Daisy Pool Covers launches new ThermoTech insulating foam range
Committed to ongoing innovation and improvement, Daisy Pool Covers has launched a new 4.5mm thick range of foam pool covers suitable for both commercial and residential pools.
Representing a 50% increase in thickness from the current 3mm product, the new product increases thermal resistance (R value) and also durability.
Consisting of physically crosslinked polyolefin foam sandwiched between two layers of UV stabilised, polyethylene based polyfabric Canvacon film - making the cover reversible in the right installations - the layers are flame bonded (top and bottom) together and are extremely resistant to delamination, even at high temperatures.
The closed cell foam layer provides excellent insulation and water repellence properties and is resistant to chemical degradation; while the outer woven layers gives the pool cover its superior strength and durability.
The composite is free of heavy metals, plasticisers and CFCs and has a working temperature range of -40C degrees to +70C degrees.
The Thermotech cover comes in three colours - blue, green and silver - to blend with colour themes used in specific aquatic centres and environments.
With the current 3mm ThermoTech covers to be phased out, the new 4.5mm are available at the same price as the former cover.
Daisy has also launched its 2018/19 Yearbook, effective from 1st July 2018, which, as well as the ThermoTech Foam range, also includes its new 10mm and 20mm budget Foam Spa Covers, new Below Ground Cover Boxes, a new Power Under Bench Roller in addition to a range of other energy saving options for commercial and residential pools.
