Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary recognised for excellence by Hong Kong-Australia Business Association
The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has been awarded for excellence in bilateral trade with Hong Kong by the Hong Kong-Australia Business Association Limited (HKABA).
Presented on Friday night by HKABA’s Queensland Chapter, the awards recognise significant business development and trade achievements between Queensland, Hong Kong SAR and China.
Initiated by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, HKABA was established in 1987 aiming to promote a positive image for Hong Kong and to reinforce economic ties between Hong Kong SAR/China and Australia.
The Association provides networking opportunities on which strong trading and investment links are built between Hong Kong companies and Australian companies. It also provides an effective channel of communications for information on economic development and trade opportunities in Hong Kong SAR/China.
At the end of last year Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary opened its new $3 million Lost Valley exotic precinct featuring red pandas (which are native to China), ring tail lemurs, cotton-top tamarins, red panda, capybaras and the eclectus parrot.
The five hectare attraction became the historic wildlife sanctuary’s biggest feature to open in seven decades.
