Contours appoints Simone Bingham to drive strategic growth plan
Leading women's health gym, Contours, has appointed Simone Bingham to spearhead the company's national expansion drive by managing its operations and providing more support to their national network of around 160 franchise studios across Australia.
As National Operations Manager, Simone will play an integral role in steering the companyâs 2015 strategic plan to enable all Contours studios to remain at the cutting edge of the female fitness industry.
Her responsibilities will include developing the franchisee businesses by creating greater synergy between the franchisee development programs and the state-based franchise development managers. By leading and coaching the state managers to ensure they are providing operational, training and marketing expertise and support to the extended franchise network, Simone will also ensure the profitability of each franchised studio and overall growth of the Contours member base.
Bingham explains "I am passionate about Contours and have been involved in so many aspects of the business over the past few years, so I am really excited to take up this new role and to continue to help shape the future of the Contours brand."
An experienced operations manager, Simone brings a wealth of Contours knowledge to the new role, having been one of the founding staff members of the Contours team when it first burst onto the Australian fitness scene five years ago. Previously held positions include Contours Franchise Development Manager and National Training Manager as well as working for a Contours studio.
Contours Chief Executive Justin Wilshaw comments "restructuring our operations team was an important and necessary move to enhance the level of service that we provide to our national network of franchises. This is just the first step as part of our 2015 strategic plan to facilitate our growth."
Bingham was nominated by the franchisees as the 2010 Corporate Team Member of the Year at Contours' annual conference in April 2010. She holds a degree in Exercise Science and extensive training in sales and leadership.
Contours has seen a massive growth over the past number of years from opening its first store in rural Victoria in 2005 to operating around 160 studios nationally throughout Australia.
Contours has recently announced a 2015 strategic plan which will see the business drive national growth and expand into new territories.
