Acting Mayor Donna Gates said summer is the perfect time to get out and explore the incredible outdoors through one of the City’s free or low-cost activities and events.

Acting Mayor Gates advised “one of our popular classes is our monthly over 50s stand up paddle boarding where we invite you to cruise the Gold Coast waterways.

“The class is fun and non-competitive, so if you love being outdoors and giving new things a go then this is for you.

“Regardless of age or ability there is something for everyone to try, so grab your friends and try out an activity near you.

“Our Active & Healthy program and all the instructors involved are doing a fantastic job at reminding us of the importance of staying active and connected for a healthy and happy life.”

Other popular activities and events on offer this summer include the colour blast obstacle courses, POD Games, Silent Disco under the Stars, Skate and BMX workshops and kids Watermania sessions.
