Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre secures funding for recreational waterslides
Clarence Valley Council has received a $1.6 million grant from the Federal Government through the Department of Infrastructure’s Growing Regions Program to enable them to deliver two recreational waterslides to the Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre by the end of 2025.
During Council’s Ordinary Meeting on 20th February, Councillors Allison Whaites, Karen Toms, and Debrah Novak, took the opportunity to acknowledge the impressive work undertaken by Hines Construction and Council staff during the construction of the Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre, and revealed 411 people were welcomed through the front gates on 15th February when the 50 metre Grafton Olympic Pool was opened to the public.
Another 1000 visited the Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre over the following weekend.
The forthcoming addition of the two recreational waterslides and supporting infrastructure will complete the Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre masterplan.
