City of Brimbank installs innovative The EDGE climbing feature
The City of Brimbank’s recently installed innovative new playground climbing/bouldering feature has been a huge success with local children and students from the adjacent secondary college since it was unveiled in April.
The EDGE, developed by strategic partners Curb Markers Australia and Industrial by Nature, is a challenging bouldering feature offering physical play for people of all ages. Climbers use their hands and feet to climb and cling to the’ boulder’, moving from hold to hold as they aim to reach the summit.
The EDGE structures have been specifically designed to accommodate easy, moderate and difficult climbing routes so that almost anyone can get involved. With a rnage of different climbing routes available, the EDGE provides continual challenges for any ambitious climber.
The EDGE range of bouldering units consists of four standard models that cater for younger children right through to active teens. Each model incorporates many challenging levels of play that will add an extra dimension to an existing playground, or provide a focal point in a new playground development or upgrade. Bold, contemporary colours make this Australian designed and built structure an attractive and welcome addition to any playspace.
All EDGE bouldering units are manufactured in Australia using proven, hard wearing components and materials, and meet Australian Standards.
Curb Markers’ partnership with Industrial by Nature has produced a number of highly successful recreational products, a range which continues to grow with the ongoing development of niche products for outdoor spaces.
