ChristchurchNZ Business Events appoints new Business Development Manager
Jeanette Henshaw has been appointed by ChristchurchNZ Business Events to the new role of Business Development Manager – New Zealand and will commence in her new role on 31st October.
Henshaw joins ChristchurchNZ from Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) where she has been responsible for delivering the highly successful MEETINGS and conference events. Previously she was with Auckland Convention Bureau for six years as Marketing and Business Events Services Manager.
ChristchurchNZ Head of Business Events, Megan Crum says ChristchurchNZ is delighted to welcome Henshaw to the team and shares “it is an absolute coup to have someone of Jen’s calibre on board to help build our sector to be the strongest, and most collaborative in New Zealand. She brings with her an enormous amount of knowledge, networks, destination marketing, project management strategy insights and innovation skills.
“Our beautiful riverside city of Ōtautahi Christchurch leads New Zealand with its first new-generation convention centre – Te Pae Christchurch, plus a superb choice of city venues including the restored Christchurch Town Hall, and dozens of new hotels within easy walking distance, all just minutes from New Zealand's second-largest international airport.”
This new role, based in Auckland, will give Christchurch national coverage and ensure the region’s outstanding assets are top of mind for professional conference organisers (PCOs), associations, corporate, and government considering where to host their next business event.
Crum adds “Jen’s personal qualities align with ChristchurchNZ’s organisational values of being Open, Purposeful and Together. Many in the industry have experienced her exceptional customer service, collaboration, passion to exceed expectations, and her true commitment to manaakitanga.”
