Brisbane Showgrounds hosts Australia’s biggest animal adoption event

Held by RSPCA Queensland, tomorrow’s Big Adopt Out (14th September) will see some of the state’s best rescue groups and a huge variety of cats and dogs gather in Brisbane Showground’s The Marquee to help the animals find adoption.

Now in its seventh year, the event is expected to attract more than 8,000 potential pet owners, as well as vet advice, pet service, pet product stalls, as well as a team of experienced staff on hand to provide information on the different breeds and their needs.

Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said they were thrilled to be a part of the initiative to tackle cat and dog homelessness.

Coyle advised: “We have a great relationship with the RSPCA and are looking forward to our venue playing a part in giving these animals a second chance at a new family.

“The Brisbane Showgrounds has a wide range of versatile event spaces which makes it perfect for hosting everything from animal adopt-outs to the popular Eco Expo, which will attract a large crowd to the Exhibition Building from today.

“With more than 20 versatile venues at the Showgrounds, we’re able to hold multiple events at any one time.”

The Brisbane Showgrounds precinct is located 1.5km from Brisbane’s CBD and is Queensland’s largest indoor / outdoor events site.
