Bluewater Lagoon Enhances Children's Play Area

The children's play area at Mackay's Bluewater Lagoon has been upgraded with a new floor surface.

As Gerard Carlyon, Mackay Regional Council's Community Services Director explains "since it's opening on 10th August (2008), more than 280,000 people have visited the Bluewater Lagoon," adding that "these numbers indicate just what a great lifestyle asset the Bluewater Lagoon is to our region."

In the children's play area, Carlyon adds that "the new soft fall pebble flex surface (will offer) enhanced non-slip properties."

The Pebble Flex surface, supplied and installed by Springfield, Queensland-based Playscape Creations, is a chlorine resistant and UV light stable thermo plastic surface that meets Australian/New Zealand Standard 4422: 1996 for playground surfaces.

Pebble Flex can be installed in water play environments, pool decks and 'dry' playgrounds.
