Biggest water polo festival arrives in Brisbane
More than 3,000 junior water polo players from across the country, together with the Ord Minnett Aussie Sharks and Aussie Stingers will be in Brisbane from today as part of a two-week festival of water polo.
The Festival commences with the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships, with competition starting on Saturday 6th January and will featuring clubs from right around Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
The Ord Minnett Aussie Sharks and Aussie Stingers will also play three test matches at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, that will also mark 200 days to go until the Paris Olympic Games.
This series will provide junior water polo players as well as the Brisbane community the opportunity to see the Olympic squads in action.
The largest water polo event held in the Southern Hemisphere, the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships from 6th to 16th January at locations including the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, The Valley Pool, Musgrave Park Pool, Somerville House, All Hallows School and St Rita’s.
