BIG4 awards recognise outstanding holiday parks

The outstanding achievements and success of the BIG4 Holiday Parks group has been recognised at the annual BIG4 Awards presented in Melbourne.

The BIG4 Gala Awards are held each year to acknowledge BIG4 Holiday Parks that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success throughout the year with winners selected by a panel of BIG4 shareholders and board members.

This year saw the introduction of the Chairman's Awards for Excellence to several exceptional parks who have excelled in delivering the BIG4 Brand Promise of Excellence in Customer Service, Excellence in Park Presentation and Facilities, Excellence in Cleanliness and Safety, Excellence in Providing a Unique Holiday Experience or Stay in addition to excellence in the delivery of the BIG4 brand and marketing messages and alignment with BIG4 Holiday Parks.

This year there were six recipients of the inaugural Chairman's Award for Excellence, and of these, one park was selected to receive the BIG4 Supreme Award for Excellence.

• NSW BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort, Queensland

• QLD BIG4 Beachlands Holiday Park, Western Australia

• WA BIG4 Soldiers Point Holiday Park, NSW

• NSW BIG4 Atherton Woodlands Tourist Park, Queensland

• BIG4 Middleton Beach Holiday Park, Western Australia

Of the awards presented, the most prestigious park award is the BIG4 Supreme Award for Excellence, awarded to BIG4 Soldiers Point Holiday Park in NSW for their outstanding personal service, facilities, accommodation and tourism promotion.

BIG4 Holiday Parks Chief Executive Ray Schleibs said that while all 180 BIG4 parks continue to raise the bar for quality service and facilities, the awards are about recognising the individuals and Member Parks that have gone the extra mile to provide an exceptional holiday experience.

Schleibs explained "these parks have displayed outstanding commitment to the BIG4 group through customer service and facility excellence and creative marketing.

"We're very proud of this year's winners and look forward to seeing them move from strength to strength in the coming years."

• BIG4 Most Improved Park Award: BIG4 Iluka on Freycinet Holiday Park, NSW
