Big plans for Arena Manawatu

Palmerston North City Council have agreed to a $2.2 million 'sports house' initiative at Arena Manawatu.

The first stage of a 30-year development plan for the Palmerston North venue, the new sports house administration block would replace the Arena's current inadequate office facilities. It would be built in conjunction with Sport Manawatu, who would also share the space.

Other elements of the master plan included the creation of a new multipurpose indoor sports stadium, the enhancement of playing fields and the development of a new indoor arena.
